We've just completed a fantastic day of rock climbing on Starr Mtn with the MS Youth Group of Calvary Chapel of St Pete. We woke up at 6am and were on the road by 6.30am. After a 1 mile intense hike up the mountain the students spent some time with the Lord reading John 3 during their mountain top devotionals while the set-up crew set-up 3 climbing routes. They did great climbing & several climbers made it to the top. The theme this week is "Faith" and no other activities help us connect the spiritual dots of faith better than rock climbing & rappelling. Yesterday we read Hebrews 11 and focused on the definition of faith followed by several great examples of Old Testiment people of faith. Pastor Josh Harris preached an excellent message on faith around the campfire last night. Right now the kids are getting refreshed swimming at "The Beach" in Tellico Plains. Tonight is our movie night & tomorrow is our bridge jumping, cliff jumping, and Baby Falls day =)
