PADDLING IN PARADISE!
There are very few things that can nourish the soul more powerfully than enjoying God's amazing creation. Maybe that's why the main part of the word "recreation" is "creation". In fact, when we combine the great outdoors with adoration of God, He converts our recreation into a personal re-creation. He renews us, refreshes us, and revives us - body, mind, emotions, and soul. Study after study shows that there are very few things that have as powerful of an overall positive impact on a human being than outdoor recreation and religion. In GTD, we combine those 2 things to bring about a God-awesome maximum impact. That's why one of our mottos is, "Love'n Life Because of Jesus Christ!". Paddle Prowl was a great weekend of concentrated adventure. We canoed 13 miles, camped out on an island, had fun together, and spent time with God - and we did it all in a paradise called Ten Thousand Islands! Now that's a great way to spend the weekend =)

LATE START, LONG PADDLE, AMAZING NIGHT!
We got off to a late start today, but completed our 10 mile trek down Blackwater River and across parts of Ten Thousand Islands just before sunset when we arrived to an island on the edge of the Gulf of Mexico. We scrambled to set up camp with the remaining sunlight and then enjoyed a wonderful campfire and delicious camp meals on the beach shoreline. The stars are so bright tonight. Now we are off to bed and looking forward to a great day tomorrow. Praise God =)

FANTASTIC YOUTH RETREAT WITH BEYMER MEMORIAL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH!
The weekend was PACKED FULL of God-awesome fun on our youth camping retreat with Beymer Memorial UMC. The spiritual theme was REVIVAL as we focused on the elements that go into God tearing down our complacency while He resuscitates our souls. We all need a little bit of spiritual CPR throughout our lives as our enemy (satan), our culture, and even our own cravings constantly attempt to deaden us to the things of God.
This was a small group of terrific young people who were respectful, appreciative, engaging, helpful, hard working, and a whole lot of fun! As you can see by the pictures we had a blast! The weekend included: daily devotions, nightly sermons, climbing wall, high ropes course, zipline, volleyball, camp games, canoeing, swimming, a little bit of rain, cool weather, campfire, smores, and a whole lot of delicious food =)
We are praising God for a great retreat! It was just Laurie & I working the event, but we rocked it! As always, we want to thank our supporters, encouragers, and prayer warriors for playing a vital role in our outreach to youths. God bless you guys!! 5 days till our next event... giddy up!
