Today is Monday the 19th and we feel like we havebeen here for a week because we have been cramming in so much fun! We started the day with yummy beans, rice, eggs and plantains at 6:45 followed by group devotions. We all split up and spread out on the beautiful church property toread and analyze the assigned verses. They were I Corinthians 12:4-6 and Romans12:6-11. We gathered back together to discuss how they were about the gifts ofthe spirit and how different we are but we are all working for the same God.Then we left for the white water rafting. The water was freezing but the rapids were amazing. A few groups tipped their boats and a few people flew out but everyone agreed it was worth it. We went over a 12 foot waterfall, with some level 5 rapids. They fed us delicious fresh pinapple and watermelon then we made the journey back to the river restaurant. They continued to feed usamazing food with a fish, chicken, or steak lunch! Followed by icecream J After we got back somepeople napped in a hammock, some people did a mini song and worship session, and some people explored the town! We gathered for dinner at 7 where we hadMORE delicious food!! It was called Casado. It included meat, cabbage, yucca, and pico de gallo. Afterwards we discussed the highlights of the day then Doug shared his testimony ( which was moving and inspiring). We celebrated GTD 16thanniversary with a delicious cake and bid Doug farewell with a prayer. Doug is leaving tomorrow morning for the United States to lead an adventure camp in North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia! Buenos Noches J (Written by Shannon andElizabeth)
