Our annual IGNITE Camping Retreat was a blast! Our theme was RECALCULATE (getting back on the right course with God) & RECALIBRATE (renewing a close relationship with God). Pastor Jay Didriksen led us in amazing campfire worship each night followed by GTD's Impact Point sermons, and culminating with roasted marshmallows and smores!! Saturday night's outdoor movie was "The Goonies"... a perfect movie for kids, teens, and adults. Each day was packed with adventures like the climbing wall, high ropes course, zipline, paintball, team sports, swimming, team building, and camp games. Add in some terrific fellowship and relationship development along with the adventure of camping in the great outdoors and it all equalled a God-awesome event!! It's so cool how God can take 35 mostly strangers and turn us into a family in less than 48 hours. We had many first-time campers which is always an honor for us to be entrusted with the special privilege of introducing people to their first camp experience. I was also blessed to see some old school GTDers on this trip along with their kids - our next generation of GTDers!!! It was a special weekend full of impact and new memories. We want to thank everyone who participated in this year's event and especially our donors and Ministry Partners who make GTD events like this possible. Don't underestimate what God can do in 48 hours when we unplug from technology, take a break from life's drama and distractions, and dive fully into God's amazing playground! We see Him do powerful things week-in and week-out =)
