While on the retreat we celebrated Laurie's birthday. We let her sleep in while we made breakfast for all the campers... and blew up balloons and hung some decorations. We made a special birthday pancake for her and surprised her with a few gifts. She was quite the trooper to help run a retreat on her special day. Later that night I surprised her with birthday cupcakes for everyone. The biggest challenge I had was getting all of her candles into one cupcake - LOL!! Laurie is a wonderful person - full of compassion, a lot of fun, covered in beauty, and head-over-heels in love with Jesus. Although she looks like she is 24, she actually just turned 38! Did I mention she has good genes too ;). HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAURIE!!
