HEADING BACK TO FL FOR 3 WEEKS (Doug)

Boarding my flight from Atlanta to home. It's cheaper to fly back than to drive back!! $400 round-trip in gas to drive back & forth... only $200 round-trip flight =)

ADIOS CCSP!!

Our Adventure Trip with the middle school youth group from Calvary Chapel of St Petersburg ended today. We had a wonderful time with the entire crew and enjoyed watching God work through each day's devotions & nightly Bible study. Thank you Josh Harris for another great opportunity to embark on another series of adventures with your students!! And thank you Joe Lovell for all your help on the past 2 trips!! You were an answer to prayer =)

TURTLEBACK FALLS WITH CCSP!

We had a wild & adventurous day at Turtleback Falls with CCSP. Despite the rain we had a blast as we braved one of God's most exciting natural water slides!! We also did 6 miles of intense hiking. We are on the way back to our base camp now... to make some Pizzadillas!! =)

RAFTING THE WORLD'S MOST POPULAR RIVER! (CCSP Adv Trip)

The annual Adventure Trip for the middle school youth group of Calvary Chapel of St Petersburg is off to a great start!! Josh taught the Bible lesson last night around the campfire just before the rain started. The kids stayed up playing until 11pm while Josh & some students went frog gigging.

This morning our devotions were in 1 John 1 followed by a delcious breakfast of eggs, gravy, & rolls. Currently the crew is rafting down the Ocoee River (the world's most popular rafting river). They are having a blast!!

Praising God for His amazing playground He designed for our enjoyment!! =)

Rio Celeste (More Relationship Building CR)

Today friend's of ours took us on a journey to Rio Celeste. It was the place they got engaged at. It took us about 2 hours to get there and we hiked the forest to where the waters meet and turn blue. Afterwards we hiked to the waterfall.

CCSP HAS ARRIVED!! (CCSP Adv Trip)

The middle school youth group from Calvary Chapel of St. Petersburg, FL arrived safe & sound to our base camp in north Georgia. It's going to be a God-awesome Christ centeredl week of outrageous fun!! There's 37 excited kids at camp... follow our daily adventures on the GTD Blog =)

TRANSITIONING... BYE FCD/PPHS... NEXT GROUP ON THE WAY!!

The FCD/PPHS Adventure Trip ended this morning. They packed up & departed at 6.30am. As they drove down the forest road they encountered a fallen tree blocking the road. After a few minutes with the chainsaw & some manpower the road was cleared and the group was on their way back to FL... but not before spotting a bear cub on their way out of the forest! We had a great time this week despite all the rain and we pray for the group's safe drive back home.

The next group is already on their way up!! Josh Harris & the middle school youth group from CCSP (Calvary Chapel of St Petersburg, FL) are in route to camp. We have 5 God-awesome days planned and can't wait to kick of the adventures later this afternoon.

Currently Joe & I are preparing for the next group's arrival. Since we had so much rain last week we have A LOT of things to dry out, clean, and reorganize. We are attempting a new labeling system on our food containers that is looking very promising. In addition, we are inventorying and purchasing food, cleaning out & restaking the tents, washing clothes, packing for this week's adventures, and much more. We only have a few hours to get a lot of work done, but thankfully the weather is working for us so far. There is only a 50% chance of rain today - LOL!! Looking forward to a great week!!
