    - ABOUT OUR DESTINATION -
Another liquid sensation in God's playground!

WAR VETERANS' MEMORIAL PARK -out & back to/from- ARCHIE'S ISLAND

Length: 1-2 total miles (round-trip) (includes practice mileage)
    Water Type: Salt Water
    Clarity: Low Visibility

We will put-in in a wind protected area right behind Shelter #2 of War Veterans' Memorial Park and begin practicing. After establishing adequate paddling abilities you will have the option to either stay in the practice area and continue to develop your skills within the protected inlet or to test your skills out on the open waters of Boca Ciega Bay. At this point we will attempt to paddle across the boat channel 1/4 mile southeast to Archie's Island. Once we arrive to the island you can relax, swim, or walk the island until it's time to paddle back to the park.

Along the route we will also make time for a devotional and maybe even some optional paddling games, races, and water wars =). And don't forget to keep your eyes open for the occasional dolphin sighting.
