Andrew has been going on GTD events since he was around 13 years old. He started volunteering for our ministry several years ago and pours his heart & energy into every event we do. He has a passion to work full-time in GTD, and that's our hopes and plans within the next 2 years! Now in his young 30's, Andrew has taken a volunteer position with GTD as our Equipment & Asset Coordinator. That means he is inventorying, organizing, and overseeing all the cool gear God has blessed us with. That's a lot of stuff: canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, trucks, trailers, backpacking gear, camping equipment, and soooooo much more. For years Andrew has rearranged his work & leisure life so he could volunteer on as many trips as possible. On the trips he rises early and often works up to 16 hours a day helping our participants have a God-awesome experience. This past summer he began leading devotions and speaking during our campfire Impact Points. He has a wonderful gift of teaching! Currently Andrew rearranged his entire life to devote more time to this ministry by taking on 4-day full-time contract working with Lockheed Martin in Orlando then drives over here to Pinellas Park to volunteer up to 3 days each week for GTD. Wow, what a heart! You can tell when someone has a calling to do something because it becomes this beautiful Godly compulsion to serve that has to be leaned into. We believe Andrew is called into this ministry, and we look forward to how God develops his role in the months and years ahead. This guy is such a hard worker!! He is currently inventorying all of our backpacking gear (it's way more than most people realize) and bringing GTD into the modern era by labeling the numerous bins that the gear is stored in with QR codes to an online data base of all of our stuff.
