Pancakes, Canoeing, & Goodbyes (IRCS Retreat)

We kicked off the morning with some good ole flapjacks as the day was shaping up to be perfect beach weather. Our morning devos were from Eph 6:10-20 as we talked about the Armor of God. We sent the kids out to spend some one-on-one time with the Lord then met back around the fire ring to share what God taught us through His Word.

We then set out for a 2 mile canoe trip. Unfortunately we only made it a few hundred yards. While most of the kids did well there were some that struggled to stay upright. We ended up staying near camp & canoeing around for an hour having squishee ball wars.

Once we returned it was time to eat lunch & breakdown camp. The 8th graders did a fantastic job of packing up camp. It was a fast & fun retreat, but we praise God for the opportunity to host this event and look forward to what lies ahead. Eighth graders, we wish you the very best as you enter high school. Keep seeking Jesus first! God bless =)
